Male or Female

Male or Female? You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living objects are actually either male or female. Here are some examples:

FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again.

They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong Buttons.

TIRES: Tires are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated

HOT AIR BALLOONS: Also a male object, because to get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under their butt.

SPONGES: These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water.

WEB PAGES:
Female, because they're constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on.

TRAINS: Definitely male, because they always use the same old lines for picking up people.

EGG TIMERS: Egg timers are female because, over time, all the weight shifts to the bottom.

HAMMERS: Male, because in the last 5000 years, they've hardly changed at all, and are occasionally handy to have around.

THE REMOTE CONTROL: Female. Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but consider this: It easily gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know which buttons to push, he just keeps trying

Random thoughts...

Well I haven't made the time to blog, much less to read blogs. But I make the time now. Kids are napping, or so i thought both were napping. My 3 yr old is def out of naps. Bummer. I did manage to get a shower. I had a rough nite. I did not fall asleep til after 4am. blah, what kind of nonsense is that. first I had a head ache & too much on my mind to think about. Then I was stinking hungry, I never eat late a night, even if I'm hungry but I had to, I couldn't bear the growling & head ache. So I ate bowl of Cheerios at 12:45am.

Yesterday I had a play date with a girl from church who has 2 small children like I do. She is really good with kids & works with the children at the church. So on Thursdays we have a set play date. The kids had so much fun, they didn't even fight. I made some carrot cake & brought it. It was soooo good. I had 2 cups of coffee yesterday at her house. The coffee must of been major CAFFEINATED, b/c I think that contributed to the head ache & the noon sleeping. Not to mention Andre woke up at 2:30am opens our door & is carrying his blanket & 2 pillows & a night lite. WHAT? So I take him back to his bed, reluctantly he did. Then @ 4am I hear both kids talking & asking for water. WHAT? It's 4am & I am trying to get some sleep. So I get them both water & then they finally fell asleep.

I ended up sleeping in the living room since I didn't want to keep tossing & turning, not to mention, my back has been hurting. I really need to get a massage. I fell down the stairs last week, b/c it has been icy. I hurt my ankle, but not bad. It was mostly a bruce but I pulled a muscle & it has been bothering me.

Tomorrow we will be attending a funeral. Lately it seems like a lot of people are dying. Last week, this lady in our church got the call that her father was diagnosed with some kind of cancer. This was Tuesday & Thursday he dies of a heart attack. Funeral was Saturday. This Wednesday Some other girl/woman from our church as well, our age, found out that her mother too had cancer, she had other medical problems also. She had surgery & dies on Sunday. WHAT? Then this last Saturday this church employee, gets a call that her mom got a stroke. Her step dad passed away 3 mo ago. We think it was due to the anxiety of her husband being absent. WHAT? We prayed for her & her mom. She was having some different types of examinations done & as the week progressed, we were praying & her speech has come back to normal. Praise God! We met the mom on Wednesday & you can't even tell that this woman has had a stroke. All in all, we pray & stand together with these families that have lost loved ones. I do not like funerals, much less going to one, pray for me that I may be strong & be an encouragement to these family tomorrow.

Monday Madness...

The weekend was pretty much relaxed. It was quite nice not to have to be anywhere or do anything. Technically I was supposed to have Saturday for myself & scrapbook, since I didn't get to in T-Town, with my friends. I was planning on it since I don't get to often. Plans for Saturday changed a little. Steve got invited out for coffe in the morning with a friend & I said he should, since he normally doesn't go out that much. I said yes but my head said no & I got upset, but I apologized for having an ugly attitude, not only that he also had to prepare a sermon for Sunday night. What a horrible wife I am, buhu, Ok I'm over it.

All in all my husband is a good husband & I love him very much. He told me that I could have Monday to my self & he would take care of the kids & do everything else. aweee, what a guy! So I did. Well my day started like this. I had to feed the kids since Steve wasn't feeling well Sunday night. He took something & slep till 9:30. But it was no problem b/c he took over. So my whole morning basically I spent organizing my stuff. Wow, what a job that was, but it has to be done. Now I know where everything is.

Steve took the kids to IKEA for lunch, since they have 1Euro meals for kids. I ate at home & the silence was priceless, almost a little lonely or strange. None the less I got started & whooped a couple of pages. What a feeling of accomplishment after being behind in a pile of 1 1/2 yr of pictures to scrapbook. A new year...

We are back from our vacation in the States. It was quite nice to visit with family & friends. We were there for 2 1/2 wks. Not too long & not too short. Just right, although afterwards we felt sad to leave, we were having so much fun. But we are glad to be back to our routine. Hope all of you had a great X-Mas. We did.

I didn't get to scrap book as much as I wanted to, but all in all I got to buy a few scrapbooking stuff. Technically I'm supposed to have the day to my self & scrapbook, but I have still some cleaning up to do since we unpacked. Laundry etc. I could still do it but I have to cut my kids hair & then we are going to see the BEE movie in "English" yipee. This will be my son's 1st going to the theatre movie.

Still have major jet lag, but we will soon be back to normal, not that I'm not normal but any who. My New year's eve was boring & lonely. If we would of known we would of booked our tickets to come back after new years. Maybe nxt time we will book it that way. Steve had to be at the church for 1hr. 11pm - mid-night. I stayed home with my awake children whom are not used to the time change yet. One would fall asleep then the other would wake up, not to mention all the fire works that started since 6 o'clock outside. All in all. Today should be nothing more than a relaxing day. I hope you have a wonderful New Year's celebration. I'm just going to kick it & chill.

As for New year's resolution, well I haven't really made any b/c realistically I forget what they were unless I have it in front of me all the time. I do have a couple of things I want to change & I will as I am working on them. I kicked the loosing weight plan out of the window but started making changes in the way I eat abt 2 mo ago & I am starting to see results. Slowly but surely. So that is one of my goals, the up keep of it & consistancy. As for the rest of me well I'll take it one day at a time. all right maits. I wish you a really good holiday.
