I look at a calendar but I don't know what day to look at because I can't remember what day of the week it is. That is when my husband or my cell phone come to the rescue.

I am excited to say that I will be getting an i phone. I am so stoked about it. The best part about it, I don't have to pay for it nor the bill. Yes way!!!!

Let's see we have been sick for about 3 weeks now. I first then Audrey, Steve then Andre, now Audrey again. Dumb colds & fevers. But it's not that bad for Audrey this time. So that's good. Andre obviously can't go to Kindergarten until his well & we have to take him to the Dr, to get a note that he is well. Today as Steve was walking, coming home for lunch he saw a friend who's daughter is in the same KG as Andre & they had signs up that said some of the kids had Scarlet Fever. Yikes!!!! I think we will hold off on KG for another whole week, what do you think?

We have started a mama's group at our church. We meet every Thursday from 9-11. I like it, I am helping the person who is leading it & my, there is a lot of work that we have to do, since it's the first time that we have it & well we have to get all the materials ready etc etc. Non the less, it's good. The kids play, then color, lesson, eat & talk with the other momma's. It's kinda cool.

Friday, we will be going to the movies with all the girls from our youth group. We will be seeing High School Musical 3. I'm looking forward to this time with the girls, not so much for an English movie being in German. The last time I went to the movies was over a year ago. I think it's time for another visit for an english evening movie.

What else is going on....I made little stockings for Christmas. A friend gave me material all in reds & whites & remnants & I used my sewing machine. I am not done yet. Steve & went to a store & saw 24 little stockings clipped with a small wood clothe pin. The stockings were #ered from 1-24. Very nice, you out little gifts in there for each day until Christmas. I think we will be buying this for the kids. So my stockings that I have made will be hanging on the Christmas tree this year, with little goodies.

Since I was sewing last week, I got inspired to make Steve & I some M&M costumes. I will be making them with fleece blankets. Now I have buy some stuffing material to puff us up. We will be wearing them next Wednesday for our anti-halloween youth party, I am calling it Hell-No ween party hehe.

So that's what's happening on my neck of the woods. Toodles from Austria.:)amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-47062702583356056132008-09-05T05:46:00.000-07:002008-09-05T06:35:01.448-07:00It can't get any worse than this...Okay, so Andre started Kindergarten this Wednesday. He's really excited about his class & his teachers. What's even more exciting, is him getting to wear his green fake crocks- house shoes at kindergarten. When the kids are dropped off in their class room they have to take off their regular shoes & wear house shoes inside the class. Today he was so excited to wear them that he didn't even say bye. Well Steve dropped him off, I didn't.

Here's the real story.. yesterday morning I was running some errands, buying a shower curtain/ rod, door matt & groceries. After I was done with that I was going to pick Andre up from Kindergarten, I had plenty of time. I stopped by the old apt, picked up a few other things, headed toward his Kindergarten. Missed the turn to the back way- short way, Kept driving trying to turn around somewhere since there's just fields & fields of crop out in the country, I couldn't really see where I could turn. So about 100 feet I found a spot where I could turn. As I'm turning around Audrey screams, freaks me out & missed part of the turn & ended up in a ditch. YIP a DITCH. Left side of the car was on the ground, right side on the ditch. I couldn't back up or turn or get out. As I am thinking about what just happened I am thinking... I can't believe this is happening to me. I called Steve, I didn't know if I was supposed to be calm, cry or laugh, so I just laughed. 3 different gentlemen stop by & asked if I needed help. One of them tried to pull the car out but it was stuck. The others well I just told them in the best German I could- my husband comes (meine mann kommst).

1 minute before Steve shows up with another friend & the pastor, this farmer lady- stocky dirty friendly looking pulls up in a Land Rover, backs up in the middle of the street, well blocked the street. She pulled out a long big flat rope, attached it to her's & mine jack. Steve pulls up gets in the car, I am busting out laughing because I'm so nervous & embarrassed that this happened to me. Anyways- Voila!!! it only took 10 seconds to pull the car out.

The car was pulled out, lady was gone in a flash, I didn't even get to say Thank you, Steve did. The bottom plastic of the front of the car is a little pulled out, but nothing major happened Thank God. When they all arrived we were talking about taking a picture. Well we forgot about it, since it all happened so fast & still had to pick Andre up from KG. I will however go back & take a picture of the spot where it happened.

Crazy, the reason why Audrey screamed was because she got frustrated with the window shade, can you belive it! Is she would stop messing with it it wouldn't be in her face. Funny story, when Andre got his surgery Last Nov, Steve was coming to the hospital to pick us up & Audrey was talking to herself & screamed out of excitement I guess & freaked Steve out that he hit a sign with the passengers rear view mirror. The mirror. We had to replace it. Thank God it didn't cost that much. It's not typical but it happened. hehe.

So today as I was getting out of the small elevator, pulling the folded stroller out of the elevator. Steve & Audrey were already out & I almost fell backwards down the stairs that lead to the basement. I don't know how I didn't see that. Usually there's a chain that closing it off, but not this time. So we walk in the city & grab a coffee then Steve heads off to work.

I go to the grocery store across the flat & as I'm getting ready to pay, my apples fell out of the plastic bag, unto the conveyor belt & floor in all directions. So as I'm putting the apples in the bag I bend down to pick up the other ones from the floor I lost my balance & I almost fell backwards well I bumped into a shelve behind me. I can't believe this is happening to me.

Is this Deja'vou or what? This crazy life of mine. Well tomorrow we will be going to the fair that's going on in the city. We shall enjoy the stroll around the city & the crowds of clusterphobic people there. We have a great view from our living room window in the 13th floor. At night the city looks very nice & the Ferris wheel & rides look awesome! Last Saturday they had fireworks & the view was amazing!! We started singing the American National Anthem. haha. Maybe tomorrow night they will have fireworks again. That's all folks for today. Wow, 2 posts in 1 week.amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-12617585730505765562008-08-28T10:25:00.000-07:002008-08-28T10:38:28.037-07:00Hellllooo....Wow, it has been 2 months since I blogged, maybe longer. I still haven't posted the pictures from Paris. Well I actually did then blogger messed them up & I started & now I can't finish it. I had about 40ish pictures to share. Maybe I'll just do 10.

Well it's been crazy hazy over here. Lots & lots happening that I have had no time to blog, check blogs, maybe check but no time to comment & the it goes on & on. Just thought I'd let you know I am still alive. Getting ready to move, well we'll be staying at a friends flat for 3 mo, since she's in India until the end of December. Meanwhile we are looking for a house & have a friend who is single (27yrs old), very responsible & who would like to live in a house but can't afford it by herself since her other friends backed out from renting together. She's a good friend and an awesome baby sitter. So we have decided to rent together. We will be looking for a spacious nice little home with a garden so the kids can jump, run & scream.

Besides packing & storing our stuf & cleaning the flat where we will be staying. I had a very SUCKY birthday, thanks to my MIL. But I had a very fun surprise makeup B-day party by the ladies in our church. Well we were on vacation. We spent 2 days at an apt cabinish type, for 2 days up in a mountain, then 3 awful days & 2 nights at my in-laws. Glad that is over & won't have to go there EVER!!! Then 5 days in Flachau, with all the leaders of the church & their families. We had a great time. We go there every year. This year I didn't really go anywhere but to 2 lakes & the kids enjoyed the outdoors, jumping on a huge trampoline with many other kids. Very stress free, but very tiring by the end of the week. We are still recovering, plus I have been doing laundry like it never ends, packing cleaning etc.

Kids are in bed & asleep & I am enjoying this quiet time. So toodles until later!!amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-65908572141570809502008-06-30T10:15:00.000-07:002008-06-30T11:17:21.490-07:00Paris!!!!Finally. Sorry that it's taking me over a month to post about this, but we were still having trouble with our pictures. Maybe today I can post them.

Sunday afternoon. Drove to Munich Airport. Plane was delayed, no problem. At least we get to enjoy our time with no kids. The flight was only 1 1/2 hrs. Pretty good. I've never flown anywhere inside of Europe only overseas. So that short flight was pretty good. We got to Paris around 9:30. Took about 45 min to get our bags. Hopped into the crammed shuttle that took us to our hotel. That took about 30 min. By the time we got to the hotel it was 11 PM. We finally hit the sack about midnight, nothing different about our usual go to bed night routine. Except we were pretty exhausted & were ready for a good nights rest.

This is where the story gets good. 2:30 am, slamming of the doors, yikes, who in the world is slamming the flipping doors at this time of the day. 3:30 am, more slamming of the doors, 4:45 am more slamming of the doors, 5 am people next to out hotel room are arguing. WHAT the WHAT!!! 5:45 oriental dude is waking up a group of people in our floor at the top of his lungs. I wish I had an anvil to throw at that guy, like i the road runner cartoon. It's just a wish @ 5 am. I would never actually throw one. Finally I decided to start my day @ 6 am, since I wasn't going to get any more sleep.

We planned on getting up pretty early since we were staying at a hotel by the airport & didn't know how long it would take to get to the city. By 7:15 we were eating breakfast, got into to the shuttle to take us to the train station @ the airport. If you go to Paris, it is convenient to get the all you can ride metro passes. We got a 2 day pass since we were in the city for 2 days. Got in the train, then switched to the metro somewhere & finally got the city @ 9:30. It took 1 1/2 hrs to get to the city. We stopped by a hotel where a pilot friend of ours was staying, well the crew that came on the private jet. By 10 am we were on on our way to see the Eiffel Tower. Took the metro, 3 stops later we were near the Eiffel Tower. We wanted to go up but the line to go up were soo long abt 3 1/2 hr wait. You couldn't even find where the line ended. BTW, it had been raining & was very overcast & my hair did some atrocious things. It looked awful!!! The thing was that looked even worse on pictures. Pretty scary & disappointed. It would of been nice to have had some descent pictures of me. Oh well.

Next was the Seine river. Huge bridge, lots of tourists. Crossed the bridge & walked up to this humongous building across from the Eiffel tower & the bridge , it was pretty cool looking. The view was awesome!

Funny story. When we were walking toward the Eiffel tower there were a lot Africans selling different size Eiffel towers. We decided to look at them & start negotiating. We were negotiating with this young kids, late teens about a price, when all of a sudden he starts running among 30 other guys. As we were wondering what had just happened, we see 3 cops in bicycles chasing them. Apparently they are not allowed to sell merchandise. It was hilarious!! Then we saw a bunch of tourist video taping them & taking pictures of them running. That was a good laugh. Good thing we didn't give him $$$. We did end up getting an 8 in Eiffel tower for 7 Euros & the other kid threw in 3 key chains. We made sure that he gave us our change 1st before we gave him our money.

Next we went to Champs Elise's. We ate there & walked around many many nice stores. Then we headed to the Louvre. It's a very nice area. The museum starts underground. The building it huge & amazing. It looks like a palace, it might of belonged to a king of France at one point. We didn't look at all the painting & arts because it would take you 1 whole day to look at everything. 2 hours later we were in the room where the Monalisa is. It was funny because the picture is kinda small. We took a picture of the Monalisa & a picture of people taking pictures of the Monalisa. It was funny. Then we found a Starbucks- sooooo happy that we found one.

Ate dinner, headed toward the hotel where the meetings were held. We got to see our friends, then after the meetings we hung out for abt 1hr, then left the city @ 11pm. We got to the hotel @ 1 am. Oh man was I tired. I looked tired on most of the pictures on Monday.

Tuesday: I got some good sleep. Got up early about 7:30, ate breakfast, headed toward the city. Got there @ 10:30. Perfect timing for the morning meeting. Ate lunch with the crew, then we had about 4 hrs to look around in the rainy rainy city. We enjoyed it! We went to the Notredame & saw some other hug church & gardens. Then we stopped for some well deserved Starbucks . We bought a mug, then went to eat dinner, & back to the night meeting. This time we left the city @ 10 pm. Got to the hotel @ 11:30. Packed our bags & left the next morning.

I would suggest, to stay at a hotel in the city & spend at least 1 wk just to be able to look at everything. We had a blast inspite of it being a short trip. I would do it again!!amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-561289612170372042008-06-20T05:25:00.000-07:002008-06-20T05:29:36.762-07:00I knowYou have been waiting for this post. Sorry it's taking me a long time. We needed to get another drive for our mac b/c it was full of pictures. We couldn't down load them until we bought the thing a-magig. So then when we did download them, something happened & we couldn't find any of our pictures, we thought we had lost them all.. But last night we finally did find them. Long story.

This is a short post. The actual post will have lots of pictures. I will try later.amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-78586997867177939872008-05-23T07:01:00.000-07:002008-05-23T07:30:44.969-07:00Got my fix....Okay, so we found out who had season 5, but could not borrow it, yet. This how the conversation went. Called the crazy lady who owns season 5, not the friendliest person to talk to, ever. But we still gunned it & said, what the heck, lets just try. You know the knot in your stomach, when you talk to people that are crazy & just plane out weird yah. Given we've never made this lady mad, not that we know of. We keep our conversations to a minimum, b/c you never know if she'll ignore you when talking to her, although my husband is good friends w/ her husband. Any way here's how the conversation went.

Btw, Steve was the one who called her. So & so, how are you. Hope all is well. We heard you guys owned season 5 of Gilmore Girls & was wondering if we could possibly borrow it. We'll get it to you asa we're done with it.

So & so response: I"M AM CURRENTLY WATCHING IT RIGHT NOW & DON'T KNOW WHEN I'LL BE DONE WITH IT. MAYBE IN 4 WEEKS. BUT I HAVE STRICT RULES, WHEN I LEND MY DVD'S OUT. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Steve: I understand.

So & so: MY DVD'S MUST NOT HAVE ANY FINGER PRINTS, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Steve: I understand.

So & So: BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH......DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Steve: I understand, OK, well thank you, Good night. Click

Shocked, my, do I look like I'm 4!! Enough said, I know what your thinking, that's exactly what I though, & wanted to voice my opinion. But not worth it.

So after that sour conversation & us not giving up for a boring evening, Steve went to the video store only to find out they didn't have "GG"

Still not going to have a boring evening, so Steve went to Metro, which is like a Sam's type of store. & found season 5 for 20 Euros baby. Not bad at all. I said take it.

So we now own season 5, we might be owning season 6, since we don't know who owns season 6.

Steve came home not only with season 5, but with 2 very yummy ice cream pops. Brand: Magnum Temptation. vanilla on the inside with chocolate covered Almonds inside, covered in yummy chocolate on the outside. They are the best.

I think we will be done with season 5 by tomorrow evening.

Sunday we go to Paris, I can't believe we got 2 more days. I am so psyched!!! I can't believe we are going to Paris, the 2 of us, all paid for, including meals & the train passes. We already have sort of a plan on what we're hitting 1st, Monday morning. We will have to get up early. Take the train to the city. I will keep you posted, if not you'll def, be posted when we come back on Wednesday.amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-20948054027838918522008-05-16T12:30:00.000-07:002008-05-16T12:34:13.494-07:00Junkie on hold...I am done with all seasons of "Gilmore Girls". Must borrow next 3 seasons. Must borrow next 3 seasons. Oooh lala, I have found somebody who has season 5 & 7. Must find out who has season 6. K got to go. Will blog later. :(amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-84334444269242858892008-05-02T10:15:00.000-07:002008-05-02T10:46:46.742-07:00I'm a junkie!!!Did I mention that I have become a "Gilmore Girls" junkie? Yeah, well I never really saw an episode when I lived in the States. A friend of ours, well he's a kid from the youth group that like to hang out with us on occasion, his family has the 1st 4 seasons. I just found out there are 7 seasons! Wow, American TV, music to my ears. Hallelujah, can you hear the choir of angels singing? OK back to my story.

Did I mention I've become, well We've become, Steve & I, "Gilmore Girls" junkies. Who would of thought. I would of never watched that TV show, it never caught my attention. But now, my life is, well different & well quite obsolete & well quite- non-English speaking. Well except for CNN & BBC Prime, aka BBC Crime (it's a joke).

They had been sitting in our TV armoir for about 2wks now, still was not interested in watching them, until we got really really really really bored & could not decide what movie to watch for like the 50Th time, of course there are other things one can do when bored. Ha! gotcha. Well I popped the 1st CD in. Steve & I sat there wondering what kind of TV series this was. Well after watching the first episode we had to watch the next episode to see what happened with the ending of the prev episode. It's like a cycle, you get the gist. You know they do this on purpose so you can be glued to the TV & or wonder desperately what happens next, when will I have time to watch the next episode or CD, season. Love that there no commercials, & oh, the skip button on the remote control, LOVE IT!! Whomever invented the remote control (SKIP button) is a genius!!! you just skip thru all the credits that start rolling at the end of the episode. Yah, skip baby! that's what I'm talking about. Then your on to the next episode!!!

Did I mention I'm a "Gilmore Girls" junkie? Well, now I have to find out who has the rest of the seasons, so when we're done with all 4, well we can watch the rest. OK that's my scoop for the day, add whatever toppings you would like.amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-37519073349388032302008-04-17T06:14:00.000-07:002008-04-17T06:41:32.274-07:00Here you have it....Our car got sick & it has to go into the shop for some surgery & some costly & minor services. Here you have it, a week ago Steve came home for lunch & the car started to make this loud noise. They guy that we bought the car from has car dealership & is a mechanic. The good thing about his business is that he always does a good job a repairing the car asap & will give you a loaner car at no cost for the time being. He called the guy & told him about the problem. That same day one of his employees came & picked up the car & switched it for a loaner.

The next day, Marcus called us & told us that it was the motor. A part in the motor went out. That means, to replace it new it will cost abt 1,200 Euros, not to mention the other thing that needed to be fixed were the brakes & the regular service. Well, not a good time for the motor to go out on us, b/c we were planning on going to Paris for 3 days next mo & well as you can see that wasn't gonna happen with this expense. Good news, the guys found a new refurbished part from the manufacturer for 700Euros! Still, disappointed that we weren't going to Paris. Well good news. We still don't know what our total Will be, but I believe it's going to be about 1,000 Euros which is about $1500. YIKES. Not worried, I told Steve we trust God & everything will be ok, we pay what we can.

Good news, I know I already said that but here you have it. Every Tuesday they have a staff meeting & Steve mentioned that we might be going to Paris for 3 days also for some meetings. Since some of the staff was going to be gone around that time. Later in the afternoon, Pastor Fred talked to Steve & said that was a good idea to go to Paris & that they want to go also for this meetings & the church would be paying for the trip. Isn't that awesome!!! We can get really cheap tickets to Paris & we had already found cheap rates on a hotel. So we won't be having to drive & we won't have the expense of the hotel. Whohoo. God is so good. It even turned out better than we expect. Well on the mean time we are driving a VW Golf. It's kinda funny, b/c the stroller barely fits in there, not to mention I have to go grocery shopping today. All in all that is my I have for you guys today! Until later friends. :)amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-58297551749943121442008-04-14T00:41:00.000-07:002008-04-14T00:42:28.363-07:00I have internet!!!!Yay....happy dance happy dance!!!!amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-87509649239642091912008-03-31T13:26:00.000-07:002008-03-31T13:39:08.965-07:00Well, it's Monday ...the last day of March & I'm sorry to tell you guys that I will not have internet for 2 wks!!! UUUUUGHHHH!!! We have switched internet providers, & some things in this country take LOOOOOONG. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I'm sure I will find a way of getting internet somewhere. So I leave you with some picture of my kiddos that I took today, well the ones where the kids are outside are from today. Hope Blogger lets me this time. :)Until later friends.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHZL-xZ_fyB3ZHwb0pAVKP02c9p9Jj_pLWiqLqhmi7QbUAbbRxvMw8jFa2lJdGeKGBLDp4jE1KjVPMIQwK4pTVE1lYFOnkqF182ZpsiLh7FfAQiSZMFtihrkjOMIPIqKIoZXg5Rg/s320/DSC_5235.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184006596403649346" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiur1jpueombL4x2-GNuvwI9iqmThnIXUK53h8vJGsUO43NYko_wbH1z8_SIV7hKQwq4TUXxHURh3yHtsgo4hJlQokkZWzyljglsTLgWRj3o_a-NtCRWh_lloL4KnEjUu36pW2kNg/s320/IMG_4309.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184006604993583954" />
<img
style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiurXCalte8QZCA6Ajr2IXNxbr_aCqxOr9qkLezNk4tELfmidEkQN3iS9qTXllwUcI2JhdEolUBZYGveEwsdgETX5VWW24KHJA9hZItKUVQQmJxt5RZ1b6bkiqF8bczanPXbS3BVQ/s320/IMG_4315.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184006609288551266" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg78WFr-S2qR00k3fegvWymNqyCsvTjBWDKRQSZkbBSB3HEYRLABaW9tRqQryD5DgCdWVlkGPvXHu5gFPd_FTwwrOepOC11E9P8saVm8cbAb9sRM77wxAC51SRfLpqUgETzaKrdUQ/s320/IMG_4321.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184006613583518578" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-tDrgZtd0OGLF7jUcJvws1xRA3LQJBAx7tbw5hpeo44kVaudX3g-eJ9QHoiI2x3NZQ0a6H3BJ2AkaGZaROefks4zVpFYUfd9HQu-tvUKJzFJpPhm45NZQYm8ll8V6PdSujWf73A/s320/IMG_4243.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184006613583518594" />amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-54102170232642823112008-03-22T11:15:00.000-07:002008-03-22T11:47:00.468-07:00Happy Easter to all...1. Brenda is making cupcakes for the youth that are playing in the skit @ church tomorrow. Batch was made from scratch, since we don't have the yummy fluffy, moist, American cake mix. BTW they will be Easter cupcakes.

I however, don't mind baking from scratch, as I sorta had to here. I love it!

2. Brenda is really really tired!!!
3. Brenda feels like she's been on her feet all day today..oh wait that's b/c she has been on her feet all day!!
4. Audrey is not feeling well today. Had a temperature earlier. Gave her some Motrin. She's better now.
5. Steve bought the kids their Easter baskets filled with chocolate or ("LALALET!!!!! as Audrey screams this when she wants Chocolate) so not cute but funny non-the less, oh & a stuffed (dumb) I mean cute animal.
6. 13 plastic eggs have been stuffed with "LAAALAAAALEEEETE"!!!!!- Courtesy of our Pastor's wife- she brought them for me from America, since they don't sell plastic eggs here to stuff. Easter is very big here but not the plastic stuffing eggs. You can buy real boiled colored eggs or you can dye them your self, I rather have the plastic. -Brenda- didn't have time to boil eggs & dye them (Bad mommy)!!! oh well they'll never remember that I dindn't color eggs.
7. Brenda will stuff confetti on a whole eggs shells, Washed of course from the inside, cracked from the top, just enough to pour the confetti inside. Brenda will seal them & smash them on our heads tomorrow. This is a traditional Mexican culture thing that we do. It's fun & messy.
8.We had a B-day party for both my kids yesterday & was on my feet all day!!!
9. B-day party was a success & lots of fun with a couple of kids from their class @ church.
10. Brenda baked 2 chocolate cakes on Thursday night that were so stinkin good.

I bought 2 boxes in Dec when we went home for X-Mas & frosting, good thinking B-R-E-N-D-A.
11. Brenda was on her feet all day on Thursday, she's super duper TIRED!!
12. Brenda is going to sit down & watch a movie, then frost the (dumb) I mean yummy cup cakes.
13. Tomorrow will be a special day!!! Yay!!
15. Did you notice I skipped #14???
16. Did I mention I'm really really tired!!!!amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-26499523381133847012008-03-10T14:08:00.000-07:002008-03-19T07:21:06.100-07:00Pictures!!!Well, I have been trying to download pictures since last week & blogger won't let me, it's taking ages!!!! uuuugh!!! so annoying. I love Valentine's day. Although is a special day I am reminded that Valentine's day soesn't have to be just on the 14th, but it can be all year long. Since our children have been born, well & money has been tighter than ever. Since our son was born on the 18th of February & our anniversary is on the 19th, we sort of just combine it.

Birthday party or Valentine's? hmmm..B-day party. Valentine's day is not very big here. But I would like to make it a tradition to bake cookies & make valentine's projects for my kids. I think I will start next year.

Valentines day was sort of a sad day for us. We went to Vienna to a 15 year old's funeral service. What a day! But it made me appreciate my family more & enjoy every moment of it, life- live it to the fullest with no regrets. Because we are not proimised tomorrow. Not even tonight. But we have the assurance & the peace that we know where were going if we die. The assurance to meet Jesus.

All in all I wish you all a very happy Valentine's day!! And to us well...we are going to be married 10 years!!! I can't belive how fast time has flown. I LOVE my husband very much & I thank God for him. I look forward for the next years to come. I wonder what our lives will be like 10 years from now. Until next blog. Cheers!!!amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-62255158931799420752008-02-12T11:29:00.000-08:002008-02-12T11:31:24.053-08:00Google... You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living objects are actually either male or female. Here are some examples:

FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again.

They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong Buttons.

TIRES: Tires are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated

HOT AIR BALLOONS: Also a male object, because to get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under their butt.

SPONGES: These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water.

WEB PAGES:
Female, because they're constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on.

TRAINS: Definitely male, because they always use the same old lines for picking up people.

EGG TIMERS: Egg timers are female because, over time, all the weight shifts to the bottom.

HAMMERS: Male, because in the last 5000 years, they've hardly changed at all, and are occasionally handy to have around.

THE REMOTE CONTROL: Female. Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but consider this: It easily gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know which buttons to push, he just keeps tryingamazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-39938083839892905082008-01-18T06:13:00.000-08:002008-01-18T06:46:08.485-08:00Random thoughts...Well I haven't made the time to blog, much less to read blogs. But I make the time now. Kids are napping, or so i thought both were napping. My 3 yr old is def out of naps. Bummer. I did manage to get a shower. I had a rough nite. I did not fall asleep til after 4am. blah, what kind of nonsense is that. first I had a head ache & too much on my mind to think about. Then I was stinking hungry, I never eat late a night, even if I'm hungry but I had to, I couldn't bear the growling & head ache. So I ate bowl of Cheerios at 12:45am.

Yesterday I had a play date with a girl from church who has 2 small children like I do. She is really good with kids & works with the children at the church. So on Thursdays we have a set play date. The kids had so much fun, they didn't even fight. I made some carrot cake & brought it. It was soooo good. I had 2 cups of coffee yesterday at her house. The coffee must of been major CAFFEINATED, b/c I think that contributed to the head ache & the noon sleeping. Not to mention Andre woke up at 2:30am opens our door & is carrying his blanket & 2 pillows & a night lite. WHAT? So I take him back to his bed, reluctantly he did. Then @ 4am I hear both kids talking & asking for water. WHAT? It's 4am & I am trying to get some sleep. So I get them both water & then they finally fell asleep.

I ended up sleeping in the living room since I didn't want to keep tossing & turning, not to mention, my back has been hurting. I really need to get a massage. I fell down the stairs last week, b/c it has been icy. I hurt my ankle, but not bad. It was mostly a bruce but I pulled a muscle & it has been bothering me.

Tomorrow we will be attending a funeral. Lately it seems like a lot of people are dying. Last week, this lady in our church got the call that her father was diagnosed with some kind of cancer. This was Tuesday & Thursday he dies of a heart attack. Funeral was Saturday. This Wednesday Some other girl/woman from our church as well, our age, found out that her mother too had cancer, she had other medical problems also. She had surgery & dies on Sunday. WHAT? Then this last Saturday this church employee, gets a call that her mom got a stroke. Her step dad passed away 3 mo ago. We think it was due to the anxiety of her husband being absent. WHAT? We prayed for her & her mom. She was having some different types of examinations done & as the week progressed, we were praying & her speech has come back to normal. Praise God! We met the mom on Wednesday & you can't even tell that this woman has had a stroke. All in all, we pray & stand together with these families that have lost loved ones. I do not like funerals, much less going to one, pray for me that I may be strong & be an encouragement to these family tomorrow.amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-34567027891398445442008-01-08T06:40:00.000-08:002008-01-08T07:06:36.413-08:00Monday Madness...The weekend was pretty much relaxed. It was quite nice not to have to be anywhere or do anything. Technically I was supposed to have Saturday for myself & scrapbook, since I didn't get to in T-Town, with my friends. I was planning on it since I don't get to often. Plans for Saturday changed a little. Steve got invited out for coffe in the morning with a friend & I said he should, since he normally doesn't go out that much. I said yes but my head said no & I got upset, but I apologized for having an ugly attitude, not only that he also had to prepare a sermon for Sunday night. What a horrible wife I am, buhu, Ok I'm over it.

All in all my husband is a good husband & I love him very much. He told me that I could have Monday to my self & he would take care of the kids & do everything else. aweee, what a guy! So I did. Well my day started like this. I had to feed the kids since Steve wasn't feeling well Sunday night. He took something & slep till 9:30. But it was no problem b/c he took over. So my whole morning basically I spent organizing my stuff. Wow, what a job that was, but it has to be done. Now I know where everything is.

Steve took the kids to IKEA for lunch, since they have 1Euro meals for kids. I ate at home & the silence was priceless, almost a little lonely or strange. None the less I got started & whooped a couple of pages. What a feeling of accomplishment after being behind in a pile of 1 1/2 yr of pictures to scrapbook. If you want to check out my scrapbooking pages here is my other blogger:
scrappuccinos.blogspot.comamazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-64245877502599246832008-01-01T01:28:00.000-08:002008-01-01T01:43:01.346-08:00A new year...We are back from our vacation in the States. It was quite nice to visit with family & friends. We were there for 2 1/2 wks. Not too long & not too short. Just right, although afterwards we felt sad to leave, we were having so much fun. But we are glad to be back to our routine. Hope all of you had a great X-Mas. We did.

I didn't get to scrap book as much as I wanted to, but all in all I got to buy a few scrapbooking stuff. Technically I'm supposed to have the day to my self & scrapbook, but I have still some cleaning up to do since we unpacked. Laundry etc. I could still do it but I have to cut my kids hair & then we are going to see the BEE movie in "English" yipee. This will be my son's 1st going to the theatre movie.

Still have major jet lag, but we will soon be back to normal, not that I'm not normal but any who. My New year's eve was boring & lonely. If we would of known we would of booked our tickets to come back after new years. Maybe nxt time we will book it that way. Steve had to be at the church for 1hr. 11pm - mid-night. I stayed home with my awake children whom are not used to the time change yet. One would fall asleep then the other would wake up, not to mention all the fire works that started since 6 o'clock outside. All in all. Today should be nothing more than a relaxing day. I hope you have a wonderful New Year's celebration. I'm just going to kick it & chill.

As for New year's resolution, well I haven't really made any b/c realistically I forget what they were unless I have it in front of me all the time. I do have a couple of things I want to change & I will as I am working on them. I kicked the loosing weight plan out of the window but started making changes in the way I eat abt 2 mo ago & I am starting to see results. Slowly but surely. We are really excited. I wish I could be done packing. Well..I'm almost done. I have 2 more loads of laundry. Although the kids clothes are already packed, most of mine & Steve still has to pack. I DO NOT want to pack on Monday. I would like to do my last minute shopping, cleaning & go to bed early since we have to get up at 5am on Tuesday. We will be flying out of Munich Germany. That's a 2 hr drive. Then we have a 10hr flight ahead of us before we land in Atlanta Georgia. After that, we have a layover of maybe 2 hrs & another 2 hr flight to Tulsa. We will be arriving after 8pm.

I hope that my kids do good in the airplane. Such long flight for 2 kids under 3 yrs of age. EEEEKKK!!! So I better start packing books, movies, toys. ayayay!

We have been so busy that I haven't had time to blog. Well I do have a blog saved on my drafts. It's pretty long with tons of pictures, but I would have to twick it, since I was supposed to have posted it abt 2 wks ago. Maybe I'll post the pictures.

Okay so I finally decided to go ahead & get a haircut. I haven't gotten one since February, so you can imagine what it looks like, long & boring. I saw an advertisement on a window display of a shop for a 16.99 hair cut, washing & drying. Well you know that's false advertisement when you walk in & tell them you want a hair cut, show them a picture & then ask you, which hair cut price do you want. 20 something for the washing & cut, no drying , you fix it yourself. Steve & I laughed a little when they asked us that question. Then the girl says or 30' something for the whole shabang! Well that's the hole point about getting a haircut, no?, wash, cut, dry & style it. We chuckled a little more & agreed. Oh well, that's how much you would pay for a hair cut any way. Although I still don't trust anybody with my hair. Good thing my hair grows fast I said & the idea was to got for a safe haircut, just in case they messed up I can still pull it back & have my hair dresser in the Tulsa fix it.

Mind you, I don't know all that the girl is saying, Steve is my translator & she spoke very little English , but didn't manage to have a conversation, she was nice, but I knew how she felt. Okay I show her a picture & doe s she do what I showed her to do , NOPE, she hopped it all off. So not what I want it, but she did a good job & I do like my hair cut, specially since I've already had this hair cut before. It was suppose to still be long, just choppy from the bottom & long layers & long bangs. Well it has layers alright, short ones that is & uneven on the left side it's a bit longer on that side. You can't tell unless I don't fix it. Oh & check this out. She charged me 2.10 x-tra for my hair being long. I thought WHAT?? If she would of done what I told her, I wouldn't of had to pay 40'something. Again I know that's a normal price for a hair cut. What gets me is the fact that they don't just a give you a flat price. Oh & by the way the 16.99 was for washing & drying your hair only, What? I can do that my self, thank you very much. So non the less I will NOT be getting any more haircuts here or at least at that one place, EVER, but I do like it. Even thought I have to get it fixed a bit next week.

In the meantime, this week we decorated the church with X-Mas decorations. Here is Andre & I decorating one of the trees. This one goes in the foyer. That was fun. Wednesday we had youth X-Mas party. The kids loved it, Although not all the kids that I expected to come came, we still had a good group & had fun. We had pizza coming out of our ears. Games & prizes. Here are some pictures. It was so funny to see the kids dance with an orange in their foreheads, the couple to drop it last won. Then we played the white elephant game. It was funny to see how some kids didn't want to give up their chocolate, last was a game of charades. Some acted, some drew & some had to gargle a x-mas tune. This was hilarious!

Yesterday was the Bible School X- Mas Banquet, today is the women's ministry X-Mas banquet. Tomorrow is church, Monday we do last minute things & Tuesday we fly out. Yippee!!!amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-6234621513261204092007-11-23T13:50:00.001-08:002007-11-23T13:51:30.326-08:00It's Nutella<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHEDU93YGN67umNqgPPlSoADYGF8TtZjl4RX7M_GJtsjs7V4UgGNJVy64tLjB9m0A0Kgx7K3y22LROlsevz_5d_plg5W6HIOiCkww52gjPoPccasXO32jxRbLgkJdonKDLbkGsXQ/s320/DSC_2048.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5136156753490412498" />amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-42999462800220926872007-11-21T03:02:00.001-08:002007-11-21T03:04:07.509-08:00Can you guess what this is??<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUh9RK16NrCnXvwNtPPkugTFi7jk7XNphqaoL58nLtYqz0xHz6w665NKU2dxDXo6S5ziXkrbxJAVTEsgDIuABujTrnsSuB6fhTh9tySCTh6Sf5plBdLnqsz5d_w1XlzZ513VJXOg/s320/DSC_2049.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5135247659237704642" />amazingbrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15978419471724307212noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34747561.post-49254864806636943602007-10-09T11:01:00.000-07:002007-10-09T12:38:36.401-07:00blogging bloggin gloging...What to write. As I was or have been thinking of what to write, I could not think of anything. Absolutley nothing. I guess one might say, those are the best blogs right. Well I hope this ones a good one. As I was loading more pictures into the laptop I saw how much I can blog abt. Well mostly about my kids. Specially when I see some of the pictures that I have taken, spare of the moment. snap, snap snap, I suddenlz get the feeling that I am turning into my kids paparazzi. Well it's all about capturing that moment right? I think this blog is mostly going to be pictures that tell you my story.

Ok I have to admit, I have been wanting some cake. More like a chocolate torte. May I say we have some of the best ones here. With that glazed chocolate on top mmmm. I think I just put on 5lbs just by thibking abt it. haha, hope not. I have been doing good in eating healthier, not snacking but on fruit, ok maybe 1 or 2 cookies max in a day. I ahve been drinking my water like I should.
